Someone from the Republican Noise machine, comes on here and post a headline like: "INTERNET whisper campaigns to spread lies about Teresa Kerry," and you all take the bait by clicking on it and commenting.

Then you "wait for some noise machine pontiffs," to email you or call you or 'discuss' the topic with you which gets the story rolling. Of course you indulged in debunking it because you feel the need to defend Kerry against lies.

It's a waste of energy and don't fall for it.

Pick your battles wisely, this nonsense is pointless.

snopes.com since they usually do a good job of debunking false e-mails of all sorts. If an e-mail is already covered by snopes, you can quickly fire that back at the person who sent the lying e-mail to you.

I heard a caller on Washington Journal last week reading verbatim the e-mail alleging that Heinz outsources jobs -- and is owned by Teresa, so why does John try to blame poor widdle Dubya for outsourcing? -- and it's all lies and misinformation. Heinz has always had plants overseas to be near large tomato crops, other crops.

If I could get through as a caller to Washington Journal this week, I'd like to refer to that call/ e-mail and debunk it on air as a public service. Crap like that e-mail actually influences some people so we shouldn't just laugh it off, laughable as it often is.
