WP: August was a bad month for U.S. troops in Iraq.

Today's Washington Post reports that August was one of the worst months for U.S. troops since they went into Iraq. over 1,100 were injured and 66 were killed. Many of the injuries occurred around Najaf. The report said had the fighting there wasn't so close to a hospital, the fatality count would have been higher.

Kerry needs to rebut Bush's convention speech with some of this.
