McCain got the deer in the headlights look when "This Week" showed new ad
George showed him the Democrats new ad about the 17 percent increase in medical payments. McCain couldn't come up with a decent rebuttal.

This is what the Democrats/Kerry should be hammering away at.

2. This increase will and should be an issue taken up by Kerry
Same old republican action. Take from the elderly and poor and give to the rich.

3. McCain is not point man for the Republicans...
Let's see what the real Republican thugs come up with.

Maybe they can fix the problem with some of those purple heart bandaids?

5. McCain is one of their surrogates and their campaign chair in AZ.
He stumps for Bush in VERY public forums and on the trail. That to me means he's part one of them. He's IS a thug in my book.

11. McCain is for McCain. Whatever he does is to advance himself. I wish
some writer would do an essay on him and entitle it "The Two Faces of John McCain." Maybe Plaid Adder could undertake it. Far too many people think he is a good man. I haven't trusted him for ages.

9. Yes, this needs to be the next commercial, showing the Purple Heartless
Band aid repugs mocking all VETS who ever won a purple heart. I didn't see anywhere a disclaimer stating they just meant John Kerry, as if that's any better anyway, so I say, hit it home Dems....it's time to shine the light on the demon and pull the curtain back on Bush's OZ.

13. On MTP, Carville nailed this.
He said if Shrub knew about the Friday 17% increase when he was pitching seniors Thursday night, it was a "catastrophic event" in the campaign, and that some enterprising scribe should find out when aWol learned of the premium increase.

I agree, in that attacking on this is attacking his 'trust', one of his strengths (according to polls and analysts). THAT is his asset that will dwindle big-time over the next few weeks. It will not be pretty. But it will be beautiful.
