4. No. It's my understanding

that that number represents everyone who ever signed up here. Some people have had numerous IDs, some people have been tombstoned, some people have left, some people just aren't active any more, etc.

There are quite a few people who lurk here unregistered, but are active in the cause - I know a few personally. I figure that offsets the duplicate names, banned people, etc.
