Haaretz writer says Kerry may consider sending Big Dawg to ME
Edited on Sun Sep-05-04 01:15 PM by althecat
... in a discussion on BBC reporters an Israeli correspondent for Haaretz was discussing Bush and Kerry foreign policy. He suggested that if Kerry was elected it might not make much difference in Iraq as the US was not like Spain and could not simply walk away there. However he reckoned it would make a difference in Israel/OT. Namely he thought it possible that Kerry might ask a senior figure with a lot of clout, e.g. Bill Clinton to go to the ME as an envoy and try to get the peace process back on track.

Now I know he's sick and everything but has this idea received any play over there in recent times? It was news to me...

1. I think Clinton is
the obvious choice for any important peace mission.

2. I agree, and Bill won't be off his feet very long.
Even though there are lots of Pubs who hate him, most people in other countries like him a lot. He is very good a talking with people, and keeping them fairly calm and remaining at the negotiating table.

I think Bill would also LOVE the job! Look how much he wanted to be the Pres. who brought a peace agreement in Israel/Pakistan.

Let's get Kerry in the WH first, the rest will be much easier.

4. WAAAY after the election.
Stop trying to kill my Bill.

Be bi-partisan. Send George. (Well, if you're looking for an ex-pres you can spare.....)
