Brian was taken aback by the thrust of Amy's assertions, like he was horrified and repulsed by her audacity to speak forcefully and truthfully, like his cherished beliefs had been ripped and torn asunder. At least that's how it looked to me, but I viewed this segment for only a few minutes.

5. Brian is a big time conservative-

from the old school, locked in time at about 1964. A little disconcerting and slightly quaint.
I have a major bone to pick with cspan (they don't agree), and that is, in their almost panicy quest for balance, they insist on having callers from more than one viewpoint available before they will take calls at all. By requiring the calls to be dem-rep-dem-rep with the addition ind as they come available, it always looks like there's an equal number of calls. What they really need is a set of counters on the screen that show how many callers of each flavor they have on hold. It would be a benefit to the viewers as well as save the moderators time, breath, irritation and add to the smoothness of the show.

Anyhow, good show-I'm even going to watch the rerun and catch some more of Amy's points. She's good and doesn't get pissed and rattled!
