Sad post on an Ohio Military Moms board... really hits home
Edited on Mon Sep-06-04 08:33 AM by henslee
(I think Military moms and wives in swingstates are very key
in this election)

Ladies,

As you probably know, we lost a Dayton area Marine last week. Lance Corporal Dustin Fitzgerald from Huber Heights died last Thursday when his Humvee was involved in a non-combat incident. Dusty was 22, a graduate of Wayne High School and on his 2nd tour in Iraq.

His mother, Melody is a teacher in Huber Heights. He has an older brother - sorry I don't know his name - and a younger brother Shane.

I am told that his body is now home from Iraq, but that local funeral arrangements have not yet been finalized.

His mother requested that her presentation of the Gold Star Flag be saved until after his funeral. She will contact us when the time is right.

I would like to present her with a memory book, filled with poems and prayers and email messages from other military moms.

If you would like to include a message to Melody and her family, please email it to xxxxxxxxxxxx. I will print ALL messages out, put them into an album for the Fitzgerald family and present it to them when we get together.

Thank you for all your support.

A. Wagner

2. Here it is. I am trying to think of a tactful/effective way to approach
military moms/wives in swing states to share talking points, facts filtered by media. There are hundreds of military mom organizations all over the net. Somehow, I think it would be best to have a military mom/woman approach them. There must be out there or on DU.
