Boortz just said Thurlow is in serious trouble
...anyone know of a link from the Wash Post? He just mentioned it on his show...for a Bush guy saying that the SBVFT may be in trouble, this could be good. Said there was something in the Post about the military records citing that enemy fire had indeed been fired at the boat, when Thurlow says that there wasnt any. Ive known this for awhile, as Im sure you have, just looking for a link...?

7. Just trying to get Swift Boat back in the headlines
It's been so effective, they are trying to bait Kerry into a response.

The last thing they want is for Kerry to take Clinton's advice and start talking about the issues.

Bringing the Swift Boat Liars back into the mainstream media is a sure way to change the subject.

Don't fall for it this time.

Records Counter a Critic of Kerry
Fellow Skipper's Citation Refers To Enemy Fire
By Michael Dobbs
Washington Post Staff Writer
Thursday, August 19, 2004; Page A01

Newly obtained military records of one of Sen. John F. Kerry's most vocal critics, who has accused the Democratic presidential candidate of lying about his wartime record to win medals, contradict his own version of events.

In newspaper interviews and a best-selling book, Larry Thurlow, who commanded a Navy Swift boat alongside Kerry in Vietnam, has strongly disputed Kerry's claim that the Massachusetts Democrat's boat came under fire during a mission in Viet Cong-controlled territory on March 13, 1969. Kerry won a Bronze Star for his actions that day.

But Thurlow's military records, portions of which were released yesterday to The Washington Post under the Freedom of Information Act, contain several references to "enemy small arms and automatic weapons fire" directed at "all units" of the five-boat flotilla. Thurlow won his own Bronze Star that day, and the citation praises him for providing assistance to a damaged Swift boat "despite enemy bullets flying about him."

6. Could very well be.
He only mentioned Wash Post...seems weird that it would get hype weeks after it was written

4. He must have a week or two of lag time before he gets current news.

Hello??? Thurlow got nailed on this stuff quite a while ago. Well, at least he noticed.

The guy that pulled Thurlow out of the water on that day has said there was fire.

5. Thinking it has something to do with the boat's damage report
Randi read it on the air, and yep, the boat was seriously holed, needed lots of repair.
