Anyone seen any Kerry billboards on the highway?
Edited on Mon Sep-06-04 01:08 PM by KzooDem
Was driving through mid-Michigan yesteday and was visually assualted by three huge red, white and blue "The Choice For A Safer America: BUSH/CHENEY 2004" billboards. One on I-94, one on I-69 and one on I-96.

First, I've never recalled seeing billboards in previous elections.

Second, Michigan is a swing state. Why am I not seeing any Kerry billboards?

Anyone else seen any billboards for either side?

2. Every closed factory is a Kerry billboard
But maybe a billboard NEXT to them?

<-- In 1999, this factory employed 32,000 workers. Today it's down to 10,000... need we say more? Vote Kerry

3. Back in 2000
There was a huge billboard which proclaimed that South Carolina was "Bush Country." Well, a strong wind knocked this sign over and shut down I-77 for several hours. Was this prophetic or what?

4. Lots of republican billboards, don't remember any
democrats. Funny about that red white and blue. They appear to have coordinated those colors and the same general style down through the state legislature and to some county officials as well.

Simple, easily identified, and because you see it repeatedly, sticks in your head.

6. I haven't but
I found this kinda funny. I was driving to Solvang, CA which is this tiny cute Dutch town in Santa Barbara County. Unfortunately, it's full of freepers. Well, I saw this big ass billboard looking sign on the side of the road reading "Bush/Cheney". Right above that sign was another sign that read "The Pork Palace". I don't know, I thought that was unintetionally appropriate.
