Osama bin Ladin-you remember him, don't you?
Is there anyone out there, besides myself, who believes the reason Dumbya isn't concerned about bin Laden any longer is that US forces HAVE ALREADY CAPTURED HIM, and are holding him, by Dumbys's orders, until the "psychologically correct" moment, i.e. the week before Nov 2? Just curious...

1. No, I think Bush made a deal with the Bin Laden family before 9/11
to let him go as long as Bush could have the oil in Iraq. Bin Laden will die an old man somewhere in protected castle that no one knows about except the CIA.

2. Following that line of reasoning,
what will Smirk and Snarl do for an "October surprise"?

8. Following the same dirty tricks used in the Nixon era, I see more
desperate attempts at attacking Kerry, Teresa, etc...maybe a terror attack on American soil that Bush will risk either total annihilation from Americans that he failed to protect us at all, or he'll cross his fingers for a rally behind him again. I look for a really horrific attack, because although Bin Laden loves Bush in office, Bin Laden doesn't control all these other tribes retaliating against Americans.
Bush already attempted to get 'highly sought after Al Queda officials," on the week of the DNC, remember? For some reason, it wasn't done, maybe because it would have confirmed that Bush was using Al Queda as a distraction from Kerry. But even if Bush pulls Bin Laden out of the rabbit hat in October, there are more people who will never vote for another Bush as long as they are alive, and if the media would have covered the 1 million women who marched on Washington, the 500, 000 protesters at the RNC, and all the supporters of the Kerry/Edwards campaign, you'd feel a lot more secure that there are many more of us than 1 million fundamentalist fright wingers who represent the Bush followers.
The October surprise will be the 6000 automobile employees that will be filing for unemployement. Face facts, Bush is a one term president with a losing plan.

3. Dems aren't mentioning Osama.
Is the reason democrats aren't hitting Bush on his failure to get Osama because they are afraid Bush is going to pull him out of his hat?

5. Not sure-is possible, but that could
work against Smirk and Snarl: if we draw him out on it, producing him early could cut into their numbers by Nov, especially if we start asking SERIOUS questions.

and the other reason is that it isn't that important in the grand scheme. al Qaeda will continue, fortified by our foreign policy blunders, for decades

7. Good thought-
a DEAD bin Ladin would be worthless to Dems, but a LIVE bin Ladin could be a political liability to Smirk.
