is God sending US a message????

(conservative Christians often see God's messages in the weather...a colleague said the floods on the Mississippi R some years ago were God's message condemning sinful America......many fundamentalists say the Bible says the coming of the end times will be marked by terrible weather)


in the last years of BushI's presidency, hurricane Andrew hit FL with tremendous devastation. the inept way the fed govt 'handled' the disaster helped contribute to his defeat.

and now 2, probably 3 terrible hurricanes in FL plus the 'feeling' that neither Jeb nor W have handled this well.

so is God saying something to US and bushco????

. . . God gave us a brain to think for ourselves. If Americans cannot see the inept leadership GWB has given us then we are doomed. I don't think God needs to send people signs for something that should be very obvious. Look at Mr. Bush's record -- enough said.

Yeah, I thought of Pat Robertson's "praying" the hurricane away from Virginia, and heading it up to New York. (I forget which hurricane..after a while, they all sound pretty awful)

4. In the chinese dynastic cycle:

When the emperor fell out of favor with the gods and was losing the mandate of heaven; the country would be hit with plagues, famine and natural disasters such as earthquakes, typhoons/hurricanes...

The problem with this is Emperor $hrubius never truly had the mandate in the first place.
