I find something particularly tragic about right wing women. Especially when they're hate-filled freeper types. They make me more sad than angry. Does anyone else feel like that?

1. No
They're just the stupid kind of girl who loves seeing two guys get in a fight over her. They love that bullshit bravado. I don't feel sorry for them, they're just as stupid as the males they adore.

3. Oh they're definitely as dumb
I didn't mean that I see them in a sympathetic light. It's just that it's weird when women have a "kill 'em all" attitude. It's unnerving.

2. I don't think half of them believe all that stuff
David Brock's book "Blinded by the Right" claims that Laura Ingraham is (or was) a big party girl who once got so drunk she admitted that she actually doesn't believe most of the things she says on TV and radio.

5. Well...the one's who've never dared try their wings sure...
The sad women raised to never question. Stuck in marriages where they dare not express an opinion. Sometimes you catch the trapped animal flash in their eyes.

But the ones like Coulter who are educated and spread oppressive mind-rot for profit?

No sympathy whatsoever.

May there be a hell.

I think its because women are child bearers and usually the member of the family responsible for the day to day care of its children. This often gives them a more compassionate view of the world and it sad when they lose this compassion.

8. Right wing minorities
Rightist minorities come from a party where intolerant white men rule the roost. Therefore, to "prove themselves" if you will, minorities and women in the right wing have to act even crazier than most. That's how you get nutcases like Coulter and Malkin and Keyes.

9. ok there may be racism in this but . . .
it makes me sad and angry to see minority rightwingers. While I can understand their frustration with the Democratic party, I can in no way understand their support for the GOP.

10. Coulter, Ingraham & Malkin are useful tools for the Right Wing
Some consider them attractive (I think Malkin is hot in an evil sort of way, though I don't like Coulter or Ingraham at all) and it makes their venom slightly more palatable to hear.

However, their main purpose is to get heard and to spew trash that is so far radically right wing that when Joe or Jane Far Right Conservative Politician comes along saying things that are just slightly more sane than Coulter/Ingraham/Malkin, it makes them look mainstream instead of Far Right.

Look at it this way - in 1964, Barry Goldwater was considered so far to the right that he out of the mainstream of America. However, if he were in the Senate today in 2004, he'd be a liberal Republican because he was pro-choice, pro-environment, fiscally responsible and also for gays in the military. The shift is due to the RW's effective at making their BS sound mainstream.

12. I agree with your premise
I'm a woman and I simply cannot understand why any woman would be, or vote, Republican. Most of the Repub women I know are businesswomen or fundies. I don't understand why the businesswomen can't see that they would be forced into their homes if the radical right had its way. These women wouldn't be where they are if not for the women's and civil rights movements.
