PLEASE HELP - Name of documentary about delusional middle America?
Can you, politically aware and culturally hip DUers, help with this query?

Sometime in August, I read a review of an independent documentary film in the NY Times. The film is about the delusional political mindset of "red state" middle American as a way of explaining American politics. It was just a series of interviews with rural Americans about politics. It seems it would be an important tool in understanding why anyone, let alone some 50 % of the electorate supports Bush.

I think it was made or financed by a European TV production company like BBC.

The title of the film was something like, "Not Your Heartland". I know that's not the exact title and tried all manner of google search to no avail.

Does anyone know what film I'm talking about? I want to get it on DVD.

2. The book, "What's the Matter with Kansas?"
is by Tom Frank. There is also a new film out by John Sayles called "Silver City". It is a low budget film shot in Colorado with quite a few stars: Chris Cooper, Kris Kristofferson, Thora Birch, Billy Zane, Daryl Hannah, Tim Roth, among others. Apparently, Kristofferson and Steve Earle will be with Sayles when it has a special showing in Colorado Springs at Kimballs Twin Peak theater. It is about "connecting the dots" in a mystery format.

A book, not a movie.

Way too much information floating around in my brain pan.

I heard about Sayles new movie and hope to see it as soon as it's released.
