Many freepers are so anti-soldier that they don't want the media to report soldier deaths in IRaq. I wonder how many of them would rather the government never release casuality reports at all.... these guys despise the freedoms of open government.... they would rather live in Stalin's Russia with a Ministry of Information.

And they these sick Stalinists accuse the media of 'celebrating' in our honoring the deaths of our soldiers.

For some insane reason, freepers think Iraqis only read/watch/listen to US news.

The death tolls the rest of the world's media reports aren't read/seen/heard by Iraqs, according to freepers.

That's why only the US media reporting the deaths is "aiding & abetting the enemy".

And of course the Iraqis themselves who are killing our troops DON'T KNOW they are killing our troops unless they read/see/hear it on US media.

11. Anybody remember....

When Russia was fighting in Afghanistan, the government never reported the number of casualties...to anybody including the families. I remember a TV documentary (think it was on 60 Minutes) where families reported that Russian soldiers would deliver a casket to the door of the deceased soldier's family and leave.

Is that what the Freepers would prefer?

How much good did hiding the casualties do for USSR's efforts in Afghanistan?
