15. 10/3/93: Somalia was Bush I's mess, but Clinton inherited it.
On October 3, 1993 Task Force Ranger raided the Olympic Hotel in Mogadishu to search for Aidid. This led to a seventeen-hour battle in which eighteen U.S. soldiers were killed and eighty-four were wounded. Bodies of dead American soldiers were dragged through the streets of Mogadishu, shown on international news reports. Hundreds of Somalis also died, although the official number has never been released. This was the longest, most bloody battle for U.S troops since the Vietnam War. On October 7 President Clinton responded by withdrawing U.S. troops from Somalia. The hunt for Aidid was abandoned, although U.S. representatives were sent to resume negotiations with clan leaders.

12. Yes, he's known as the crying President, he was very compassionate.
Clinton was warm and loving. Unlike Bush, aloof and afraid. It shows you the contrast of how cowardly Bush is and selfish he is, he doesn't want to associate himself with funerals because it's a political loss for him, Clinton didn't care, he put politics aside and people loved him for it.

That's what John Kerry needs to drive home. I would say tomorrow, "While Bush has spent hours thinking up clever little trite slogans, 1000 soldiers have died and he doesn't have the time to honor them!"

14. Yes:
Bill Clinton - Bill Clinton attended a service in October 2000 in memory of the 17 sailors killed in the attack on the USS Cole.

After the terrorist bombing the Murrah building in downtown Oklahoma City he publicly grieved with the families of the victims at an event that was regarded at the time as a turning point in his presidency.

Clinton met returning coffins from Kosovo and, in an elaborate ceremony, was on hand for the arrival of the bodies of his former commerce secretary Ronald Brown and 32 others killed in a 1996 plane crash.

Pictures were allowed of incoming caskets after the terrorist attack on the USS Cole in 2000 and President George H.W. Bush helped eulogize Americans killed in Panama and Lebanon.
