Bush's house of cards...

...is going to come tumbling down. There's just too much pressure coming from ALL sides for them to sustain this charade. Can you all feel it too??

Be careful around that cornered badger, my friend
They will bare their choppers one last time I'm sure. Be prepared!

2. That's what I've been praying for
ever since the selection of '00. To paraphrase Ghandi, all evil regimes come tumbling down, every last one of them.

8. Here's the quote I think you're referring to
And it's a good 'un:

When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Always. -- Gandhi

And another favorite of mine from Gandhi:

First they ingore you
Then they laugh at you
Then they fight you
Then you win.

:-)

3. My heart says you're right..
But all logic disagrees with it... The Right wing media will cover for him.. The Teflon is just too thick.. I mean come on, he's unscathed after everything he's done so far, he's survived numerous investigations and not a single one has implicated the administration at all..

4. Good analogy
Only the media is holding their house of cards up with unfounded praise, non-critical analysis, and massive distractions.

9. I still say...
when the neocons forced the intel agencies to take the fall, they committed their fatal error.

Never piss off the people that know your secrets. The stuff that is NOW coming out was successfully repressed for years, but now its all unraveling... I suspect some ops managed to get the damaging info into the right hands.

not that it would help: his core are mindless drones and defend him no matter what.

This will get very ugly and very dirty very quickly...time is running out and Bush is against the ropes. I shudder to think what the neocons would consider "powerful enough" to obtain reselection.

THAT is what scares me. Although I enjoy seeing them desperate on the one hand, on the other hand is something as outrageous and heinous as tactical nukes used against Tehran.

12. The neocons are in deep doo-doo
right now for treasonous acts like passing secrets to Israel. It's all they can do to keep afloat for a while yet.

10. when nixon resigned, it was like this....I was HORRIFIED that nixon

got re-elected...however, nixon still couldn't hold up his house of cards....it was the second term when nixon flew away off OUR White House lawn...to the cheers of many....but nixon's crimes were small compared to bush*....

at any time, bush* could collapse...the scandals are HORRENDOUS...as Paul Krugman so poignantly put it this weekend: "... hoping for a MEGA-watergate..."..it could happen too...anything could break at any time...seymore hersh could publish some really gross photos from Abu Garib, forcing bush* to do take responsibility (and even today, nothing has been done, and the red cross cannot come into the prison...OUR soldiers fired shots into a courtyard just last week, killing many possibly innocent Iraqis)...it could be the Plame Grand Jury investigation....there are SO many scandals...

for nixon, it was like that too...it wasn't just Watergate, a relatively minor scandal that caught nixon, and allowed nixon to leave with his pension, his secret service, and his medical and presidential benefits....there was much much more....and many people went to jail...

when some bushies start going to jail, they'll turn on each other....they'll point the finger to each other and eat their own...look at richard pearle....immediately, he turned on his old buddies...that's how reTHUGlicans are...they won't go to jail for bush....

11. Nixon is a false comparison..
Nixon didn't have the media machine behind him that Bush has, and he also didn't have a fully republican congress and judiciary to cover everything up.
