4. there is hope
I have to assume that a portion of the same people who have a more favorable opinion of the republican party after the convention also still basically think that Bush is bad for the economy and can't handle foreign policy.

9. I noticed one subtle difference from a lot of other polls.........
A lot of other polls refer to Shit-for-Brains as "President George W Bush" giving the ass hole a "subliminable" edge and this one didn't. I wonder if this is a good sign that MSRNC is trying to be fair and balanced?

Online results seem a lot more realistic than the Newsweek poll. They should really be ashamed of themselves.

Surprisingly complicated polling, for on-line. Kerry is edging chimpy out in every category now. Too bad these on-line polls have so little meaning.

33. Nice slanted question Newsweek!!!!!
The question: (I'm paraphrasing) Do you think the ads by veterans attacking Kerry's service are: accurate misleading or distorted.

Excuse me??? How about FALSE??? The words make it sound like they just distorted his record, when if fact, they ripped it apart and said that he lied, he was a coward, and worse. The choice "FALSE" should have been in there.

Was Newsweek the one that did the poll with Repubs/Democrats/Indpendents nearly evenly split, even tho independents (which are usually republicans) are NOT 1/3 of the voters? And didn't they also give the REpubs 70 more slots in the poll? Who owns that rag?
