I sent the local affiliate an email of protest. I tried to call their number but it was busy, probably purposely left off the hook in advance of the onslaught to come.

A friend posted to an internet board just now saying that she was assured WAFB would NOT be censoring 60 Minutes tonight. Now we see it was a blatant lie.

It's shown on their website programming grid. There's no clue that it was going to be pre-empted.

Meanwhile WAFB has a loooooooooooooong history of giving assistance to Republicans in their news coverage.

How do you like the television station deciding what you can and cannot watch? It reminds me of book burning and book banning---so you don't get contaminated with the propaganda. If enough of you in Baton Rouge protest the station with crowds and signs and complaints and letters to the editor of the Advocate, they will think twice about censoring your right to watch what you choose to. Their attitude is probably that they were doing it for your own good. Big Brother tactics ---boy, this country is in huge trouble. Get in touch with your local DEM party group there in BR and plan an action! I'm sorry you didn't get to see it, it was awesome.
