New group after Kerry
Edited on Wed Sep-08-04 09:27 PM by raysr
Reserve Officers Association. I just got an e-mail from WAVets4Kerry and they told me about them but I erased the e-mail and WAVets4Kerry don't have a web-site. Anyway, they're supposed to be "Non-partisan", right. So if I hear anything else I will post. Web site but nothing about the above http://www.wavets4kerry.com/

2. Isn't it against the Hatch Act for federal employees to be political?
I think there is supposed to be a mutual agreement that they don't get fired and hired politically if they don't visibly participate in campaigns.

I never did read up on it. My dad was a civilian federal employee (and also a reserve officer) and would always get out of talking about politics by uttering the words "Hatch Act." I couldn't drag anything out of him.

3. Do they mean this group?
http://www.roa.org/

Chartered by Congress in 1922.
No mention of political activities, other than lobbying.

There is an op-ed (under "media") taking a position that reporting bad news is demoralizing the troops and undermining the war effort ("why can't the press report all the *good* things we're doing?".

4. The Real Flip-Flopper
Check out the second image in this gallery for some food for thought on whose flip-flopping has cost this country:
