The Freepers Catch the White House releasing FAKE MEMOs
What do you know, they have done a service to America finally.

Holy Smoking Gun! Somebody slipped up by allowing the word processor to automatically print a superscript. No superscript in the header. How very sweet!

Great catch, you're right!

On first doc, you see 111th and then 111th

---

To: M1911A1
Unless someone can explain the superscript on the 111th in the second paragraph of the May 4th memo, I believe that is a smoking gun. Can you explain it? I never saw a typewriter that could do that until the electronic typewriters that came out in the 1980s.

My father got out of the USAF in 1968. EVERYTHING typed in his discharge papers was courier font and had uniform character width. Was there a great retooling of the Texas ANG between 1968 and 1972? I didn't see superscripts, even in the preprinted letterhead. Please explain.

1. I was reading that , too
I thought I was gonna die. They're "investigating", bless their hearts. I hope they get to the bottom of this soon so we can find out WTF George Bush was up to back then.

4. No, they were using underwoods and spit balls in the 70's!
"the smoking gun!"

IBM leased millions of Selectric I & II typewriters to the government starting in the early 60's.

Who the hell are those asses anyway?

16. I was in high school
Seems like I had them even in high school. I know I had them at work. Except when I was on a computer. Yes, we actually worked on computers in the 70's. Monitors and keyboards hooked up to mainframes at some central office somewhere. Or big monsters that were dedicated to one task, like word processors. I haven't looked at these memos, but thought I'd add that tidbit.

5. So what they are suggesting is..
the White House leaked false memos to make themselves look bad. Even Bush isn't that stupid. On the other hand, if the real memos are even worse...

12. They also compared Killian's signature
on the stuff that was put out before to these memos. They don't match. If you go to the site in the address above and go to the next set of freeper stuff you'll see the examples of the two signatures. Check it out and see whatcha think.

13. I don't understand.
Are they studying Bush's records from the TANG and finding evidence of forgery? If so, what does this post mean?:

"Not to be a wet blanket, but even if proven beyond a doubt to be fakes, do you think many people beyond this forum will ever hear about it? Even if Rush and Hannity pick it up, if the MSM and all the Dem pundits poo-poo it as right-wing-whacko-conspiracy stuff the way they successfully innoculated Clinton to all criticism???

Why would this poster expect Dem pundits to "poo-poo" the claims if they hurt Bush? Why would he expect Rush and Hannity might harp on it?

17. It's still going on---they really think that using the "forged"
story will work.

Th poor dears--they have no answer for why the White House released some fo the memos....
