Remember the spy story?
har de har har. that one sure sunk like a gnurl of constipation.

That one dropped and went right down the hole with no flush...

From "Breaking News" to "What?"

1. Great question
I was just about to post a thread on the very same thing. I even did a Google news search. The last thing in the big media I could find related to Powell's interview in early August.

Earlier in the year some of us on this board were howling about the failure of Democrats in Congress to bring attention to the matter. The response from them seemed to be "just wait, we only get one shot to bring this up so it has to be timed correctly." I think now would be a good time but something tells me the matter has been pushed under the rug . . . at least until after the election.

Here's one thing I found entertaining. A bit of a flake factor yes, but still a fun read.

2. you could always check out
whatreallyhappened.com or antiwar.com. They've been posting the dirt on these assholes for awhile. WRH tends to be almost freeperish in their virulent hatred of Jews/Isreal, and I guess antiwar.com is supposed to be the REAL republican party stance. Still, they're both worth checking out since they're kinda like Buzzflash or DU in that they post stuff coming from EVERYWHERE. I guess you hafta make up your own mind as to what is utter horseshit or not. Antiwar/Justin Raimundo at least has LINKS (credible ones) to what they/he are referring to. Pat Buchanan (sp?) writes some scathing shit there too. Anyway, you can check it out and decide for yourself. Some of the stuff comes from major newspapers, and they even include major Israeli papers, so it's not COMPLETELY one-sided. I would take what Libertyforum has to say with a grain of salt, tho'.

3. The beauty of a "big investigation"
Edited on Thu Sep-09-04 02:50 AM by necso
is that it cuts down on (useful to us) leaks and covers all the sordid details in a fog, pierced only by what is allowed to shine out -- and this is usually not much!

In short, nothing happening here folks, move along!

I mean, wasn't some Anthrax related lawsuit delayed because of some "big investigation happenings". What big happenings?

What happened? Did the proposed patsy turn out to have teeth again? Does anybody really think that this government is all that interested in catching these, most likely well connected, domestic terrorists?

The neos control the government -- think Ashcroft -- think Rove. We can expect nothing from the government, except for a few useful leaks here and there from brave people who are putting their livelihoods, if not their lives, at terrible risk.

Consider all the rest BS... It is a safe starting point at least!
