Big Brother Censorship...this is bigger than repug vs Dem
How do you keep the middle and lower classes in their places and ignorant of what is going on in the world? You censor and filter and color/slant what they see and hear. For their "own good" of course. What went on last night when many local TV stations, cable companies, satellite carriers refused to carry 60 Minutes, or had "transmission" troubles was absolutely horrifying. We know that ABC, CNN, and to some extent, other broadcasters/newspapers/radio stations have fallen into line with the repub objective of giving the public non-impartial, non-investigative reporting. We'd better think seriously about what this means to our future of our being able to get reliable information. IMAGINE NOT BEING ABLE TO RECEIVE ANY LIBERAL INFO AT ALL IN THIS COUNTRY---you know damn well this is an objective of bush/rove. Even moderate repugs must have second thoughts about being denied information "for their own good." Even moderate repugs hate book-banning. There are so many things that we must do to counter-act this attempt to deny us info. Taking to the streets and rioting comes to mind, but may not be realistic, LOL. Let's come up with some ideas. The only things that I can immediately think of are: sending massive amounts of emails to the headquarters of CBS, to Keith Olbermann, even to Tweety (he likes controversy), to satellite providers, TV stations, cable companies, letters to editors, and protests/demonstrations of local TV stations that participated in the censorship last night. If this is not the most dangerous by-product of all this election crap, I don't know what is. Our very individual freedoms are under attack---think Patiot Act, and here is another attack. Are we just going to post on DU and do nothing?

2. I asked the question on GD who had blackouts during that time.
I agree with you if people were not allowed to see it, then we are in biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig trouble in this country. I know we already are, but this makes it even worse.
