"Okay, Republicans, Play nice now..."
Every time the Bush camp says something sleazy like "If you vote for Kerry, you'll be in greater danger of being killed by terrorists", instead of saying "That's rich, coming from the guys who ignored the highly specific Aug 6 memo and went on vacation, did nothing to prevent the attacks, and then didn't have jets scrambled for over an hour after we knew we were under attack. I submit that Bush made us vulnerable, and that his shortsighted policies continue to make us morre mulnerable today."

Instead of saying that, the Kerry camp comes out and says "That's not a nice thing to say. It lowers the level of the debate."

HELLO! They are REPUBLICANS! You expect them to play NICE? There hasn't been one with a conscience since Lee Atwater. Hit back and hit back HARD!

1. I guess I'm the only one who felt this way?
(sigh)

2. Certainly you are not the only one to beleive this way
Of course, as I have said before, John Kerry is held to a different standard than IdiotBoy is. Shrub can get away with being a lying coniving self-righteous prick. But even Kerry's heroism is devalued. If Kerry makes a stand like you say-personally I wish he would-he will be painted as a bush-bashing hatemonger in addition to being a fag-lover, idol worshiper (i.e. Catholic in Puke-ese), spendthrift, and incompetant militarily. Sometimes, just to hear some truth and some passion come out of the democratic campaign, even a simple self defence, I think it would be worth losing the election. There are somethings more important-the truth, values, standards, decency, than being president.

3. No you're not, but Kerry has to be careful not to be baited into
anything. Rove is really good at hanging the bait out there, hoping the dems will bite. I like the strong hard hitting guys like Biden and Kennedy do, but lots of Americans don't!

You have to remember, we'll never get the voters that are hard core shrub supporters, no matter what. We won't lose the hard core dems either. The candidates have to focus on the segment who really do try to listen to both candidates, and make their decision, not so much based upon partisanship, but their own personal reasons.

4. And Atwater's conscience didn't kick in until his DEATHBED
Probably afraid he was going to get the room in hell next to Goebbels.

Of course, THAT room is reserved for Amerikan Goebbels, Karl Rove.

5. I wasn't implying that Atwater had a conscience.
If there is a hell, he is in the hottest section.

I just meant that he set the tone for the last 15 years or so.
