Al Zawahiri: We have control over most of Afghanistan!
Osama's right hand states this in a video released tonite. That would never have happened had the resources and manpower not been misused over in Iraq. Afghanistan is neglected totally once again, and the US will have to pay the price for it.

2. Of course
if you are not like 3/4 of America's and have been paying attention, you know outside of Kabul is basically back to the way it used to be.
I hope Kerry tries to get that message out there too.
Bush is running on a platform of lies and failures.

3. They don't have control in many parts of the western and
northern areas. Al Z states that the south and east is totally open for Mujahedin, and that they are gradually taking over the rest from different war lords as well.

5. hehe, sarcasm is quite a used utility here on DU
basically it seems like it is status quo in Afghanistan, after almost 3 years, except that the drug production is at a sky-high level. Women are still being treated like crap, and basically the country is outlaw.
