Ed Schultz saying Dems have to keep on AWOL...don't let up. He says
"some whiney Democrats are saying "forget about the Vietnam stuff let's move onto the other issues of jobs and economy."

But Schultz says that the AP and CBS information is NEW and Bush told Russert there was nothing else out there, he had turned over all the info about his ANG service. Schultz points out that AP got new info from "FOI" suit and that it's important not to let Bush get away with lies.

Says how many other pilots would ask for "leave" to go work on a political campaign after having the "thrill and rush" of being a fighter pilot. He says the fighter pilots he knows live for flying and it's a pretty lame excuse that Dumbya got all that training for a million tax payer dollars and just leaves it, refusing to show up for a physical.

He says something is there, and it's important to get to the bottom of it, because it's about his character and they didn't leave anything out when going after Clinton that was "in the past."

 (I'm not sure how I feel about this, but Josh Marshall says more is coming out in two new articles, and Schultz says stay on it...maybe something will come of it?)

1. YES, stay on it
And continue attacking on every available front. Send a thousand tomahawks at Bush. He'll be able to fight off some of them, but not all.

8. "Every available front" Amen!
Let a small team of folks keep hammering on AWOL. Kerry can talk issues.

A small team of folks to talk about "we can/can't win the war on terror" gaffe. Kerry can talk more issues.

A small team of folks to talk about . . . Well, you get the picture.

2. i absolutely think the dems have to stay on it
though i have a feeling they won't...

the republicans AND the media will both push the "we've had enough of vietnam war" excuse..

sure they've had enough, now that kerry's record has been tainted...

if the dems don't keep pressure on awol and keep the story alive, i'll be HUGELY disappointed, and i'm afraid they'll pay dearly for it.

this MUST be kept alive, if for no other reason, than to NEUTRALIZE the damage that's been done to kerry.

it's unbelievable when you think about it, a real war hero, being tarnished and shamed, and called a traitor, and then a DESERTER, a pussy who dodged vietnam suddenly becomes this war hero. it's sickening....

but if the democrats don't fight back on this, perhaps they deserve to lose the fight.

3. Dems do need to hammer on AWOL, but Kerry should avoid it
And hammer Bush on issues.

My 2 cents.

4. You can do both
Continue to pick away at the Guard stuff while making the case that Bush has been an incompetent liar his WHOLE life, including during his time as president.

Don't make the mistake the Republicans made and make this the ONLY issue though.

6. I agree. This AWOL stuff should have come out long ago and didn't
because the Democrats didn't keep the pressure on.

11. We should be pushing two themes from these revelations
1) Bush has been lying about his record for years
2) Mr. "Bring it on"(macho) was a chicken shit when he had his own personal opportunity to "take it to them."(coward)

The Democrats should make a point of saying that Bush's service performance is not the issue, but these revelations raise serious questions about his character.

13. GW Bush refused a Direct Order.
He refused to take the physical. Refusing a Direct Order is a Courts Martial Offense. Why was there never a charge?
