He had French armored cars, Russian tanks, American electronic gear, South African artillery pieces (which, btw, SEVERELY outranged our own artillery during ODS.).... the list is virtually limitless.

I don't know the exact attribution, but I saw a list sometime during the '80's, which showed the world's largest arms IMPORTERS. Iraq was at or near the top of the list, and showed virtually equal amounts of money spent with the US as with the Soviets.

However, for some mysterious reason they weren't used and therefore, there is little point to the argument that foreign countries supplied such. It should be, however, an issue that a US company did - let alone one with the eventual VP at the helm. I think that is called treason.

It took me about two months to get a copy of this book, used, from Amazon. I had to keep trying and trying. It was definitely worth the wait. The whole damn world armed Iraq.
