Arnold - The $600,000 Man
The $600,000 Man
by Jerry Flanagan

You might have thought that Lee Majors was the $600,000 man but that title goes to Governor Schwarzenegger who held a fundraiser in Bakersfield last night reportedly bringing in more than $600K for the California Republican Party.

The bionic man had supersonic hearing, but Arnold has a supersonic sniffer when it comes to campaign cash.

Last night's fundraiser follows a flurry of fundraising including the Gov's trip to the Republican Convention in New York last week which was paid for in part by pharmaceutical companies. The drug industry wants Arnold to veto several bills on his desk that allow individuals, employers and public programs to buy lower cost prescription drugs from Canada through bulk purchasing.

So much for Arnold's promise to be the Governor for the people and not the special interests.

The Gov's mindset is evident in his comment last night that the reason for the heavy security at the event was because, "We want to make sure no one gets in here without a contribution check."
