Local TV in Johnstown and Altoona/State College just went crazy over
the Bush* visit to Johnstown, PA. Totally over the top. Johnstown is usually a Democratic area. Honest to God this was a huge Bush* commercial, it took over the whole news program. They even had coverage of hios plane taking off. Interviewing people on the streets, it was grossly biased. Kerry Edwards need to show up here.

1. Is the local news in Johnstown a Fox affiliate?
Why on earth would people in Johnstown go crazy over Bush? That's a depressed area, isn't it? (Although with Altoona/State College you're getting towards the center of PA--the supposed conversative center of PA).

5. TV stations are not Fox Affiliates; As you say, Ch 10 (St. College) is
a big republican area. Johnstown is usually Dem.

2. It's time for Bush's
9-11 bounce in the polls. If it were not for 9-11, bush would be nowhere near Somerset County.

6. It was held at the Johnstown War Memorial arena. Seeing all the kids
makes me think they were bussed.

7. Have been working for the Westmoreland County Kerry campaign.
They need someone to go canvassing in Seward, which they say is West. county, but near Johnstown. Know anything about it?
