How did Oliver North escape with his Anti-Kerry tirade?

If you go on any search engine and type '"John Kerry" "Oliver North"', you will get a collection of articles by North saying that Kerry did not expose him because he was not on the proper committee.

North lied, again.

It turns out Kerry was on the proper committee, and if there were papers about the Contras and such, they would have been sent to Kerry, who in turn would implicate North.

Oliver North, betraying Americans in the 80's, lying to them in 2004. Not much progress, eh? What disturbs me though, is that some people will actually believe this traitor.
