The notorious Pier 57 (owned by the HudsonRiver Trust--a city/state consortium) was dubbed "Little Guantanamo" by reporters who also got caught up in police sweeps and who said it looked like the Guantanamo Bay prison built by the USA to hold the Al Qaeda terrorist political prisoners in Cuba. Pier 57 was leased by the RNC before their convention. They arranged for the NYPD to put up the chain link holding pens with razor wire on top in the old Pier 57 warehouse that had oil, gas and asbestos dust on the floor from a previous fire.

Although Rense's site may not be the 'best' for information, I do recall reading that piece posted earlier today on DU, which exposes how the author was held for over 40 hours in NYC.

This is what puzzles me....why isn't someone with the NYPD or in the media pointing out that this 'jail' (Concentration Camp) was operated by the RNC? It's alarming how the RNC is worming its way out of this. If the DNC would have done the same thing it would be all over the papers, media, etc., not just the "alternative" net sites.

I am really beginning to become scared for our entire country and I fear that Little Guantanamo may be a pre-cursor of things to come.

Go on and tell me that I need my tin-foil hat (constructing it now <grin>), but if Shrubya wins, who knows?

You can't get RNC stuff, but NYPD had to file against owners/operators of Pier 57
