Lieberman: Consummate Fool
I'm just catching the questioning for the hearing on prisoner abuse at Abu Gharib. Our esteemed Joe is questioning Schlesinger and Brown. One of his really enlightened questions was to the effect of when does the public good override holding people accountable. One of the responders answered "Never", but Smoked Joe clearly didn't like the answer and hurried on to another line of questioning. Why was he selected as the VP candidate in 2000? I'll never understand. After * and Nader, he's the one other individual I'd never vote for on a ticket again.

2. I don t know why he bothers to show up at these hearings
They are investigating abuses, & some of the Repubs are much tougher in their questioning than Joe ever is.

3. McCain
condemned the abuses at Abu Ghraib more strongly than Lieberman did.

I don't know of any other democrat that brushed the abuse aside like he did. It was truly astounding.
