and I've got it here, next to me as I type. It seems that one of my former co-workers is a heavy contributor to the GOP. :barf: Today my office was faxed several pages from Tom DeLay :barf: regarding the "Ronald Reagan Republican Gold Medal Award." It comes complete w/little "hand written" notes from "Tom" to my former co-worker, thanking him for all his hard work & asks him to call his assistant at an 888 phone number.

Included in this little package is a press release for immediate release announcing the "RRRGMA" and hand-written on that are "FOX and CNN."

The medals, which are obviously tied into the presidential campaign (nominations announced in September & awarded in October), will be awarded to "selected business leaders across the country for their unyielding support of President Bush's tax cuts that have the economy growing at record paces blah blah blah." The press release states the announcement is being made by Majority Leader Tom DeLay, NRCC Chairman Tom Reynolds, and the National Republican Congressional Committee.

If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can get this to Franken, Randi, Mike Malloy, etc, I'd appreciate it. After work, I'll try to scan the pages in & will forward the file to those who want to see them.

ask yourself why out of all the media outlets available in the US, the only two on this press release are Fox (which we already know is a GOP mouthpiece) and CNN (which blatantly whores for the GOP but likes to pretend it doesn't.)

18. here's the funny part

just yesterday, the person who's now in his old office came across another type of "award" also signed by Tom Delay. I wish I could remember what this one said, but as it was printed on relatively nice stock & had a pretty cool frame, I'd say he paid a hefty donation for that "award."

We tried to disinfect the office but ran out of Lysol. ;) The new person raised her credibility in the office by asking if we could burn it instead of returning it.

Both my boss and I have gotten them many times as well as a few phones calls.

You should have seen the look on his face when I told him that Tom Delay was giving him an award. They trade the "award" for RNC donations.

Which is funny since my boss is a registered Dem as am I of course.
