Will Hillary Clinton Be 'TOO OLD' To Run For President In 2012?
Will Hillary Clinton be 'too old' to run for president in 2012?

If (god help us) W were to get a 2nd term, obviously she'd be a shoe-in for 2008, but if Kerry wins in 2004, then loses in 2008, it would probably be a battle between her and Edwards for the nomination.

But if Kerry got 2 terms, she'd still have to battle Edwards for the nomination and he'd be the incumbent VP which is always hard to beat.

Bottom line I want Hillary to be our first female president. And I'd hate to see her labeled as 'too old' by the press when she decides to run.

6. Well, as much as I'd like her to be President
And I very much would! I'm not really wild about old presidents. I want someone more like me. That's why I was such a big fan of Bill's 12 years ago. He was young and a breath of fresh air after Reagan's old ass, then Bush Sr.

I like youthfullness.

I'd sure as hell vote for her though!

I don't think she will be too old in 2012.

In October of 2012, she'll be 65.

7. If She Keeps Moving to The Right She'll Be Able to Run As A
Republican by then. I have been very dismayed at her trying to outflank Bush on the Right. I understand the strategy and find it unappealing

9. I suppose it depends on if you're a chauvinist or not!
She will be 65 then. I don't remember hearing any MEN complaining about all the MEN who ran for President that were over 65! The media has been saying McCain was kissing up to shrub because he wants to run in 2008 and he'll be 72!

Just asking this questions tells me what your cards are!

11. Hillary WILL NEVER be President.
Ted Kennedy had a better shot at it, and he's stayed put in the senate- Hillary will do the same.

she's too divisive, in that she is a lightning rod for right wing hate..she'd have just as much chance of being elected as rush dimbulb if he ran as a puke.

12. nonsense
Reagan was divisive. Nixon was divisive. George W. Bush was divisive. You don't need 100% of the vote to win.

he's at least 10-12 years away from a shot at the big chair.

15. whadda ya, kidding me?
half of the old farts in DC right now are about 80 years old and look even older. Why is age always an issue with females. On tv the anchors can be shriveled up old men, but 40 is old for a woman. aaarrrggghhh.
(so, probably the reaction you were hoping for, eh?)

19. Hillary probably won't run for president, but you never know.
I'm putting my money on Chelsea being groomed for that role. With mom in the Senate and dad as an ex-President and elder statesman, who will be appreciated more and more as time goes on, that will keep her in the loop and with the connections she will need to run.

Oh, do you think the Bush twins will be doing the same? Somehow, I have hope for them. No, they won't get into politics, but once they break away from family dearest, we might be surprised to find them making themselves useful.

20. i'm waiting for chelsea too. i think she will be a political force
in 20-30 yrs. She seems softer than her mom which I think will help her. But I don't rule out a Hillary presidency in my lifetime. If the media ever gets squared away, I think Hillary will be our first woman president--and it couldn't come sooner. We are long overdue for a woman president.

I'm also anxiously awaiting the arrival of Barack Obama. The first time I saw him was at the convention and have been in love ever since.

21. I've love Hillary as president...
But in 2012, I feel Edwards/Obama will be the ticket (if all goes according to plan for us the next eight years).

The right-wingers hate Hillary as much as we hate the Bush cabal. The only reason, of course, is that she's an outspoken bright woman, which is sad and pathetic on their part. It's because of this that I feel Hillary could never be elected, but Chelsea could have an honest-to-God shot one day. She hasn't been demonized to near mythic proportions yet.
