2. Holy shit
that central pressure reading is ominous. Hurricane Camille( winds of 190 mph) was 909 millibars. Andrew was 922.

4. Yeah I saw that, too
Please, everyone who is in the cone, begin to make preparations now. If your dwelling is "questionable" as to it's ability to weather a storm such as this, take time now to make a few phone calls.
Find out where the shelters are, make plans to get out of town, or do something pro-active to take care of yourself.

John Kerry would most likely approve of this message.... :P

6. I'm so sorry
I read in an earlier thread that many of the Jamaicans are trusting in God to protect them - not going to shelters or to safer ground (if there is any) ... I sure as hell hope that they find some additional protection just in case God is busy with other human tragedies (no disrespect to Christians intended). :(

This is SO sad and scary.

9. Oh my
Very tight eye. Whoever is within 50 miles or so of the center is in for a very very rough ride.

10. Wow, this really is terrible
For some reason I NEVER expected it to regain strength, esp. over night. Maybe I'm just out of it, or in hurricane overload or something. I'd like to say I sure hope it don't hit FL again, but it's going to hit SOMEwhere. Not good at all.
