This week Americans marked the third anniversary of the September 11th attacks as the war in Iraq claimed its 1000th American military casualty. Our guests: President Bush's Secretary of State, Colin Powell and former President Clinton's Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright. Two Secretaries of State, with two different views on the war on terror, the effort to rebuild Iraq, and the presidential election -- only on this Sunday's edition of "Meet the Press with Tim Russert."
Then, a special roundtable, pairing two of the preeminent investigative journalists of our time, Seymour Hersh of the New Yorker and Bob Woodward of the Washington Post, will offer insights and analysis on intelligence reform, the Iraq war, and the race for the White House. Hersh will also discuss his new book, "Chain of Command: The Road from 9/11 to Abu Ghraib" which traces the Bush administration's path from September 11, 2001 to the current situation in Iraq.
Tim Russert is the moderator of "Meet the Press." Betsy Fischer is the executive producer. Erin Fogarty and Michelle Jaconi are producers.
"Meet the Press" is regularly seen from 9-10 a.m. ET, except in Washington, D.C. and New York City where the broadcast is seen from 10:30-11:30 a.m. ET. Please check local listings or the Meet the Press website (www.mtp.msnbc.com) for airtimes in your area.
