No cell phone calls on 9/11??? Air-phone???

Just watching cable--CNN or MSNBC (?)--they had several members of the 9/11 commission on--one of them said that there were no cell phone calls from the plane(s) b/c it is/was not possible. Must have been calls from the air-phone.

Did anyone else catch this? :wtf:

But it is possible to make cell phone calls from planes at low altitude. I've tested this myself and it works, albeit intermitently.

Isn't it possible to even get small things reported so they are understandable?

It might not work above 10,000 feet or in many areas, but if airplane is low enough or in the right parts of the world (I assume like the entire Northeast) then they will work.

10. I THOUGHT that the ongoing question was about the feasibility of

cell phones working at high altitudes...I didn't realize that the official story had changed! No calls from cell phones...the calls were made from air phones per the commisssion.
