Why do negative doom and gloom topics get all the replies?
Edited on Sat Sep-11-04 01:05 AM by Melodybe
It is a trend here. I think that we are helping to defeat ourselves. I know that it seems too hard sometimes, but really people, do not forget that not only is the truth on our side, the world is too. Slowly the world has come out against Bush, even Blair is trying to save his ass by distancing himself.

It is like people here WANT Bush to win so they can wallow in their misery.

Well Fuck that! We have the internet, the Daily Show, and F9/11. It may not seem like much, but we also have a MAJORITY of the population and some of the coolest people to walk on this Earth in the last 100 years.

Bob Dylan is on our side!

Bonnie Raite is on our side!

Madonna is on our side!

The Beastie Boys are on our side!

The Simpsons are on our side!

Dave Chapelle is on our side!

Spinal Tap is on our side!

The Dead is on our side!

Robert DeNiro is on our side!

Julia Roberts is on our side!

Tom Waits is on our side!

Jimmy Carter is on our side!

Bill Clinton is on our side!

The Daily Show is on our side!

The World is on our side!

Do not let those assholes at CNN get to you. Turn that shit off!

Don't hang your hopes on MSNBC, John McCain, or Christ Matthews. We have the internet and we can find the truth. Tell you friends to go online for news, take away the media's power and tell people to watch TDS and to read Salon.

We can win this, even if good forbid they steal it in November, nothing changes we will still have Dean, Clinton, and Kerry. I have faith in the goodness of people and it is time for Bush to go! We have to stop mopping around here, stop complaining and get off our asses!

Write a letter to the editor, hell if you can't get it published in a paper, print it up and pass it out to people on the street. Do a freeway blog, call your friends.

Don't act like all is lost, it's not. Don't let the media whores get you down, get even, tell everyone you know to turn that shit off! It is the media's job to get us down, well, DON"T LET THEM!

I love you all

:toast:
to Jan. 20th and the deserved sigh of relief we will all take when Kerry is president.

I love you all.

1. Well said.
In answer to your subject line, it's because we hardcore dems are pissed off by the naysayers. We not only want to win, we expect to win.

2. Unfortunately...
Some people are addicted to emotional states of mind, it's like a drug. Those people *need* to feel SOMETHING, all the time. Most of them turn to Fox News, though.

3. When Kerry wins this election, it will be because
the American people themselves decided to fight for democracy and uphold the Constitution - in spite of Fox, in spite of the other major news networks, and in spite of hate radio. when that happens we can all give ourselves a pat on the back. Until that happens, we have to fight like hell. The only thing to fear is fear itself!

5. There ARE more people that support Kerry than Bush.
If the people around you do nothing but talk about Bush have the balls and the facts ready to set them straight.

We have nothing to fear except fear itself, indeed.

Start talking people, that is what will save our asses, not CNN!

6. simple
collective disgust at our society. When you see so many easy fixes for problems, and they aren't being enacted, its hard to be anything but negative.
