Your attempts to defend Pres. Bush on his National Guard service are pathetic. Most pointedly, proof of his failures does not rest on the authenticity of the recently disclosed documents, and the attempts to steer attention onto these side issues serve no function except to distract from what should be the main thrust of the story, namely, how and why Bush reneged on his responsibilities.

Dan Rather has more integrity in his little finger than CNN, Faux News, MSNBC and ABC COMBINED.

I believe Dan Rather. I certainly don't give much credence to CNN, who, among other things, hauls out the discredited Calhoun to defend Bush. Get some balls! Because of your lack of journalistic integrity and pathetic jingoism on behalf of the Bush administration, we've lost more than 1,000 young men and women in an unnecessary war. History will show that the media (except for Knight Ridder, which did some real investigative reporting) was complicit in this phony war. It's one thing for doddering old fools like Larry King to be an admitted Bush supporter, it's quite another for an alleged newsman like Leslie Blitzer to shy away from the tough questions. Is it fear of retribution? Is it bias? I'd stopped watching the network news but am returning to CBS. I'm not going to tune into CNN anymore--unless of course, I want to see endless coverage of Florida hurricanes.

I am positive that CNN is trying to be a Fox in Wolf's clothing. Dan Rather knows what journalism is. I have some points to make. # 1 Why would I believe CNN when they are not prime time and I am sure Dan Rather does not have to date Rush to get talking points?
#2.Why can't you try to learn a little about journalism instead of opining which has nothing to do with facts.
#3. When one puts their own comfort zone before truth to the American people and dare call it accurate reporting, you are just proving that you are Tabloid News. I trust CBS News and Dan Rather. i did what you asked.

Like most broadcasters, they rely on focus groups and the average American focus group member is convinced that the media is "librul" cuz they've heard it now for decades. I do a lot of focus groups and it never ceases to amaze me how uninformed most participants are.

This right-wing aproach we see on CNN is something they've decided on and will stick to it until they relize that they are losing their liberal/progressive audience in massive numbers and not picking up viewers from FAUX, nothing will be done.
