If the Freepers are boycotting CBS advertisers...
then we better patronize them. Let's face it, the right-wing will stop at nothing to suppress our freedoms, and if we don't respond, it's only a matter of time before CBS caves in like CNN and MSNBC have done.

16. Well, they DID succeed in getting the
"Reagan" movie taken off of CBS. They ended up showing it on one of the cable networks. Showtime or HBO?? The RW shit DOES work.

3. Boycotts like this don't work
I remember when CBS took the Smothers Brothers off the air for anti Viet Nam war comments. Boycotts and letters didn't do much good back then.

19. Excellent Idea - we should write the advertisers and CBS we will
buy their product and support them to offset the freepers.

freepers are very well organized. one word from oxycontin brush and they're on the phone.

Anyone have the number of CBS?

and it would help to give the e mail and names of the advertisiers.

Anyone?

23. Is there a way, other than watching TV 24/7 to find out who the
advertisers are? I have no problem supporting them and sending them an email to let them know why I will buy their products.

Maybe they will send you a T-shirt. I bet they have an operator standing by waiting for your call. I think I smell a ticker tape parade in your honor on the horizon.

8. Unfortunately Wal-Mart
is one of the advertisers on the CBS evening news. I will go naked and hungry before I will ever shop there, not a pretty sight I know. However I have been and will continue to be a regular viewer of CBS news.

13. I like Wal-mart.
Decent prices and everything you need is right there at your fingertips. It is a great store. I care less what kind of politics they are into.

15. That's why it works...
and frankly I don't think you could care less. Maybe you should care more. So, like people so often do with religion, you pick your politics based on convenience?

24. Freepers won't boycott the products
but they will flood the companies with emails.

We can flood the companies with emails thanking them for supporting valid journalism. We don't have to actually shop there or buy their products.

Like everything else, it's all show, nothing under the surface. Damn, I feel tired and cynical today.
