5. did it last night...
..even called Dan a "hero" -- thought he'd like that. It wouldn't hurt to email a couple of different places, such as CBS news AND 60 Minutes II.

8. I did the same. He is a hero.
"We've waited & waited for the Fourth Estate to do its job, and CBS is the only major news media to do what is right for the country: investigate & report. You are a HERO, Dan Rather.

We all know something is amiss in our media, we just don't know what it is yet. When the media gives an untrustworthy administration a free ride from scrutiny, it puts this country in danger.

When John Kerry becomes president, I plan to urge him to make changes at the FCC to prevent news networks such as Faux News from misleading the public. I blame them & the other lapdog media for allowing our country to deteriorate. A watchful eye from the media wouldn't have allowed this administration to conduct its shady business unquestioned.

Imagine all the lives and taxpayer money that could have been saved if all major media in the U.S. had done its job all along.

Thank you, Mr. Rather, for having the courage to do what's right. May God bless our country & save us from this tyrant."

6. Okay, I have to admit to a certain level of thickness
since I don't follow the news - what did CBS, and apparently specifically Dan rather, do? Is it regards to Chimpy McFuckSpoon's AWOL treasonous behavior? And if so, how specifically?

7. See their website here

Very, very strong statement by Rather supporting the revelations about memos from *s TANG commanding officer that were shown on 60 minutes II Wednesday and have been viciously attacked by the freep squad ever since. It was an outstanding and vigorous defense of their adherence to facts, and included promises of more to come.

9. My letter: Dan Rather Is Heroic
Dear Mr. Rather,

What you have done is not only brave but patriotic. It's time the media in this country stopped acting as a propaganda arm of the
cabal in the White House and started telling
truth and facts to the American people.

These facts about AWOL should have come out
strongly while he was running before the election of 2000 instead of the media acting as
cheerleaders for him and for the phony Iraq "imminent danger" war . It should be made clear
that the Iraq war declared by this administration had nothing to do with the attack on the WTC.
Because of the propaganda of the WH which the media repeated, 60% of the American people who only get their news from tv, believe
Iraq was responsible for the attack on the WTC.

Please continue to do real and honest reporting.
You seem to be the only one.

Thank you again for your heroic bravery.

Dear sir or madam,

Thanks and major kudos to CBS.

Thank you so very much for breaking from the pack. Finally, a network that refuses to be intimidated by the Bush administration.

Informing the American public is, in the truest sense of the word, an awesome task. Thank you for your service to this great nation. You truly honor the American people when you observe this sacred trust to fully inform. I commend you for having the guts to put it all on the line against these evil men.

Keep up the good work. You have a loyal viewer for life.

14. I e-mailed them today.
I think they have shown incredible bravery in the face of a fierce foe. Someone like Dan Rather and his people are the only ones who really can. They have the staff and the podium that we don't have.
And Rather has the guts to stand up to them - and just tell them to Bring It On.

I don't think Rove can touch Rather - he has been in the business too long and has an impeccable reputation.
