Oooh! George Bush...... Remarks he made to Dean once. Oops.
Edited on Sat Sep-11-04 03:13 PM by madfloridian
Dean spoke at Brown yesterday, and I just picked up on this cute little snip in this article at the Providence Journal.

http://www.projo.com/extra/election/content/projo_20040910_dean10.361305.html

SNIP..."In Dean's You Have The Power, centrist Democrats get much of the blame for allowing right-wing Republicans to rise to national power. Dean also complains that reporters and editors give too much attention to campaign strategy and not enough to the issues.

The 188-page book, published by Simon & Schuster, is due to be released Sept. 27. The Associated Press said it obtained a copy at a pre-release book-signing.

Dean said yesterday that the book also includes an anecdote in which then-Texas Gov. George W. Bush told Dean that he "hated" Christian conservatives so politically prominent in Texas....."

Oops! Georgie.

2. Doesn't surprise me
The evil rulers of the republican party fellated the Christian RightWing Zealots to get votes so they could more easily slide themselves into power.

I've not really ever felt that Shrubbie McFuckWad and the other assholes - even Falwell and Robertson - were actually Christians in their heart. The politicos see public affirmation of Christian faith as a path to get votes; the religious leaders see the Christian faith as a path to wealth and power.

7. I keep wondering how this will play with these conservatives he mentions.
I expect my book any day, and am very curious about this passage. I know that Dean has often mentioned knowing Bush pretty well when they were governors.

I guess they are so much in denial, that they would say it is propaganda.
