When Kerry is elected, should we deal with the 'Vast Right Conspiracy'?
Edited on Sun Sep-12-04 03:41 AM by ck4829
I am not advocating violence in any way, but when Kerry is elected, they will try to take him out of power, and we should not stand idly by. Should all Democrats form a Coalition to knock the people who persecuted Clinton out of power, by suing them into bankruptcy? I can tell that if Kerry is elected, beginning on his 1st day, he will be persecuted by all the same people as before. You heard of the "Clinton Chronicles" marketed by Jerry Falwell, well I bet they're already making a "Kerry Chronicles". In this day and age, America does not need the Vast Right Conspiracy, and if a group needs to be formed to oppose the same people who persecuted Clinton, I would gladly take part in it. What are your thoughts?

1. We'll definitely have to deal with them.
They'll be in a wild rage, and I'm sure they're already developing the Kerry Chronicles, like you said.
Kerry should definitely start by suing the Swift Boat liars. That's definite liable there.
Clinton probably shouldn't have ignored as much as he did.
We'll all have to be Kerry's defenders, and at the same time, hold his feet to the fire to make sure he stays on the progressive path.

3. I'm afraid the legal system will have to be deconstructed
a bit and then rebuilt to allow the bar to be lowered for libel or slander in re politicians. Very doable and I'm all for it. Unfortunately, then the not so swift liars cannot be held to the new standard, since their crimes predate said change. Fun to think about, though.

12. The swift boat liars aren't protected by the standard of public persons
unless somehow we've decided that, once you get on cable news, you're now a public person.

2. Gawd, yes.
To tear down and destroy utterly this bastion of hysterical hypocrisy is not only logical, it is almost a spiritual requirement. The Great Wheel must grind exceeding fine...

5. We should do what we can because Kerry will need to focus
on running the country! They chased clinton around like a wild animal for so long and so hard that he could barely focus on the issues at hand.

That was abominable! We can't let that happen again. If Kerry is be allowed to pursue his policies, something has to be done to thwart his attackers so he can DO HIS JOB.

Yesireebob, I'd LOVE to start a class action law suit against this entire administration. The People vs Wheorge Whush

6. The first person in our list should be Antonin "Fat Tony" Scalia.
He among the nest of vipers that denied Al Gore his rightfully earned Presidency must be impeached. He has claimed that all authority comes to people in power directly from divine sanction and not from our Constitution. That statement alone should be enough to impeach him, for he has sworn to uphold the Constitution that he has now taken to belittling.

I have a long list starting from this enabler of Bush. But I am going to sleep now.The criminals have to wait for another day.

7. We do have some of the machinery in place.
MoveOn should take an expanded role.

We have Air America now.

There should be some lawsuits, and the FCC personnel has to be changed. The Fairness Doctrine needs to be reinstated.

I would not mind if someone went after some of the right wing churches. The ones who are guilty of fraud should be prosecuted, like the child abusing priests have been. The ones violating separation of church and state should be investigated to the hilt.

Some monopolies have to be broken. The ones involving the media come to mind first.

That would be a start.

Of course, Kerry will have the power to appoint judges. That will help, too.

9. And make them pay for their own meals once there.
The same as our wounded military were made to when hospitalized.

MRE that are good enough for our military, should be good enough for our big wig war criminals, I should think.

10. Dealing with a vast conspiracy could be difficult
I would target the PNAC people first because they are published, we know exactly who they are, and there are only a handful. We need a news organization that is willing to get their hands dirty and investigate what really went down during the Bush II administration. A vast conspiracy can fall apart if it is shocked hard enough.

11. scalia, american enterprise institute, frist,
club for growth -- are all a mix of ''true-believers'' and corporate fascists.

the main problem with attacking repukes is that faceless corporate america is the real power behind the throne.
so it has to a be a two pronged attack -- it's much easier to go after the known faces -- harder to go after the bank roll.

essentially your idea is sound -- but if we don't find a way to separate repukes from the corporations -- they will simply replace each of the discredited faces with new ones, or rehabilitate the old.
