Assuming Kerry wins, what will he say to nation on November 3, 2004?
The morning of Nov 3, Kerry will own Iraq. Bush will be a lame duck, his policies will have been discredited and the whole world will look to John Kerry to say what he intends to do about Iraq now that he has won the election.

I wish Kerry would think through that "speech" to the nation on the morning after, and pull some cogent points out of that to use in this campaign right now.

Here is what I think he should say:

1. I will not keep troops in Iraq unless the Iraqi people want us there. I will hold a referndum on that issue within weeks after I take office.

2. I will not try to dictate the form of government in Iraq and I will not stand in the way of a government that is not friendly to America. I will let Iraqis run Iraq.

3. I will ask George Bush to immediately withdraw American troops to forward bases and send them out only to prevent civil war and genocide.

4. I will never send Aerican soldiers into battle with oders to only shoot if fired upon first. That is a role for peace keepers, once a peace has been established. When I send our troops into battle they will have oders to blaze away.

5. I will meet with the leaders of the Iraqi insurgency and determine who we are fighting against and why. If they have valid grievances, I will redress them. If they don't, I will make them see that they don't.

1. I will immediately start investigations into the former Bush Administration
and war profiteers. If convicted for these crimes, I will see to it that all of them be exiled to Afghanistan for good.

3. Our long national nightmare is over
And if you assholes in the Right Wing have any happy ideas of pulling on me the same endless investigation shit that you pulled on Clinton, I'm hip to your horsehit.

I can dream, can't I?

4. To those that are looting America, I say the PARTY'S OVER.
To the energy companies that are ripping off the American public: I hope you've enjoyed the free ride, but it's now time for paybacks. TO the rich, the powerful, the psychotic, and the dangerous: The party is over.
To the honest, trustworthy, hardworking Americans that have been trampled upon for fourbushyears, I say: Help has arrived. You now have a government that fights for those that need help, and not for the powerful.
Party's over righties.

7. He should thank the people for trusting him and that he will live up to
their expectations and come through on his promises.

He's got to. America is boned big-time if he can't solve the oil problem. * obviously has done nothing, condemning us all.
