Incompetenet Freeper vandalism
My wife is temporarily working out of the Raleigh-Durham NC area and I went down to visit her for the weekend with My Kerry-Edwards and Veteran for Kerry-Edwards bumperstickers proudly displayed on the back of my car.

As I was leaving the hotel this evening I found the Kerry-Edwards sticker balled up on my windshield with pine needles, a shoe print, and dirt all over it, as well as a corner of the Veteran for Kerry sticker torn away in an apparently unsuccesful attempt to remove that sticker.

Long story short, I removed the pine needles and most of the dirt, uncrumpled and easily reapplied the Kerry-Edwards sticker. The Veteran sticker was barely damaged and is now "battle" worn and will remain proudly displayed.

I was initially mad about the vandalism and as my wife pointed out the obvious disrespect of a Veteran by the so-called pro-soldier crowd, but finally just had to laugh because for all their efforts they failed completely and were only successful in revealing their hypocrisy where Veterans are concerned and their utter incompetence in guerilla campaign tactics.

2. These reports of sticker & sign attacks lead me to the conclusion
that they are afraid.

The truth is out there
and the liars' minions don't like it at all.

3. Pathetic...we live in Raleigh; had my Kerry and DU stickers on my truck...
for a few weeks and no vandalism yet...one hopeful sign is the relative number of Kerry stickers as opposed to * stickers on my drive in to work in RTP each day. Like many places, polarization is running high around here, but at least we are a battleground state again!

5. Thanks...we've lived here and there - RI, NH, VT, WA, PA - so...
NC, though really nice, doesn't really exceed some of the other areas, especially WA (we loved our year in Seattle!)....but we just learn to hop between air conditioned places in the summer, the growing season is nice and long....the Outer Banks and Mountains are great. Still, it was really tough to move to the state that gave us Jesse Helms, and so strongly promotes smoking....and once we put our Kerry yard sign out, neighbors on all three sides of us don't speak to us much any more!

6. I spent most of my life in Utah, so I'm all too familiar with

the narrow-minded, short-sighted conservatives. The only things I miss from Utah are my family and all the no-smoking rules.

On edit... Also the Geography, Utah is a beautiful state too. I highly recommend a tourism visit especially of the southern half of the state.

that not all of us are like that as I'm sure you know :) I'm sorry you had that happen to you though.
