INFO for student voters experiencing problems registering!
ATTENTION Student Voters!: the United States Supreme Court (US v. Symm) expressly ruled that college communities must allow students to register to vote there, but the Voting Rights Act Amendments of 1970 specifically prohibit states from establishing "durational residency" requirements. (durational: without break, cessation, or interruption)

From law student Jay Varellas of Studentvote listserve :

www.VotingOverseas.org makes registering to vote from overseas easy and features a campaign to make sure that each college and university in each state that is sending students to study abroad is helping them register to vote.

So, basically what is needed is for the website info to be sent far and wide and then for students from or with connections to particular states to make sure each college and university is getting its overseas students the info they need to get registered to vote! There will be directors or co-directors from each state as well as volunteers (and you can probably make up more titles if you want). Email Eric (at eric.tucker@green.ox.ac.uk) if you want to help.

Studentvote is the listserve of the Student Voting Rights Campaign, a
network of students and advocates seeking to establish and ensure the right of students to vote in the towns where they attend school, and promoting the full participation of students in both local and national elections.

6. So they aren't just trying to trick uneducated, elderly or minorities
They have the arrogance to try and prevent college students from exercising their right to vote.

9. the added problem for students is they might have to register twice
once where they are, then again when they are blocked.

and time is running by, fast!
