9. The memos are authentic.

CBS used several techniques to guarantee they are authentic...the memos. They are NOT forgeries. Software designer...the lower case L=l on a computer is not the same as on the typewriter. The number one=1 was commonly used as a lower case L=l on a typewriter.

He's showing the new USA Today documents. He's asking the same 5 QUESTIONS...and the WH says they have already addressed these issues. The documents are authentic and the story is true.

The older typewriters didn't even have a 1, so even after 1s were available, a lot of people still used the L. That was with a Courier-type font, though. When a larger variety of fonts came out, we had to take extra pains to stretch that left pinkie finger up to the 1.

In Louisiana, we have a past governor, Edwin Edwards, who is currently serving a prison term. (He was a DEM) Over and over, the people of LA kept voting him into office. He used to laugh and say, "Hell, the people of LA would forgive me anything, except to be found in bed with a dead woman or a live boy." (I confess, I voted for him..he was pretty liberal.) Anyhoo, exposing the true character of shrub won't change a vote....but, it will make evil Karl think twice about coming after our nominee when his boy has such dirt on his shoes.

they did NOT mention James Bath? They had the document up on the screen that ends with --"specifically Bath and Bush" but the text they superimposed over that and Dan Rather's script only said "specifically Bush." They need to open that Pandora's box!
