1. Wonderful.....................
I can't wait to get back to D.C and check it out. The United States' first foray into genocide and imperialism, and it's been a hit with us ever since.

I hope there was a lot of Native American input into this Museum and that it isn't again told from the viewpoint of the White Man.

2. If the word "genocide" RE native Americans is not used there, it's a fraud
It will be interesting to see if it's for real or another whitewash.

3. Sounds really interesting.
The museum's website indicates considerable interaction with indigenous communities. Many are on staff; there are also internships, education, etc.

Some basic parameters for the building structure were dictated by the 4.25-acre trapezoidal site, the building restrictions for the National Mall, and an active creek bed flowing below the site. These challenges were addressed initially by the project design team of Douglas Cardinal (Blackfoot) Ltd. and GBQC, which included Native design consultants Johnpaul Jones (Cherokee/Choctaw), Ramona Sakiestewa (Hopi) and Donna House (Navajo/Oneida). The building’s distinctive curvilinear form, evoking a wind-sculpted mesa, grew out of this early work, forming the basis for the architecture.
