c-span: early a.m. - video of W at Russian Embassy. Did you see it?
Jeez - the Bush's and the Soviet deputy Ambassador and his wife descended a beautiful staircase. W was there to pay condolences over the school attack and murders.

At the bottom of the stairs was a table - W sat down and took a small card out of his suit pocket. He wrote a long note in the embassy's book. He had put the notecard to the left of the book and was writing on the right hand page. So he looked back and forth too many times, very demonstrably, making sure he copied that note word for word.

Once finished he stood up and grabbed his note card from the table top, folded it up with one hand against his pant leg and stuffed it into his outside jacket pocket.

He looked like an awkward fool. But that was not all!

He then stood there and attempted to make extemporaneous remarks about the heinous attack and stammered a few times and had a few of those uncomfortably long pauses while he tried to come up with something to day.

All in all - yech! To put it nicely, as former Sen McGovern did: W came to the presidency ill prepared.

1. He was way late in making the trip to the

Russian Embassy. An major lack of protocol. What else would we

expect from Chimpy? No class, no style, no substance. No cattle, all

little pointy hat.

2. In an unrelated TV scene on tonight's CBS Evening News
Edited on Mon Sep-13-04 07:20 PM by SpiralHawk
they showed an image of Bush in shirtsleeves at some generic campaign event. Once again, he had soaked through his shirt.

Now sweat happens, we all know that. But Bush has to be the the Sweatiest Human Being to have ever stolen the US Presidency from the people of America.

I add my observation to this thread only because it is yet further evidence -- as if more was needed -- that something Highly Peculiar is afoot with George AWOL Bush these days.

Awkward fool indeed.

3. remember how they made fun of Al Gore for perspiring?
One of Dubya's pet pundits derided him for "sweating through his tie".

The double standard is the only thing more sickening than the thought of a sweat-soaked Bush trying to hug passersby.

4. odd - and I forgot to mention that he had some kind of lesion or smear
above his left eyebrow - toward the center of his beady forehead.

The sweating is profuse - did we notice this in 2000? Have any of our medical people come up with an idea of why he sweats his brains out?

5. I can't figure that out.
Does anyone know of any medical reason why W sweats buckets like that? I know...some people sweat a lot and others hardly at all. But this is ridiculous. Not normal, IMO.

7. Remember when he visited Russia:
He was filmed taking a wad of gum out of his mouth with his fingers before meeting the press. It was played and replayed on Russian TV. He also embarrassed his host by spending only about 10 minutes at the Bolshoi Ballet's Nutcracker presentation. He zoomed through the Hermitage in a matter of minutes, too.
