1. Apparently, he has never earned any money on his own
but largely lived off the taxpayers and special interests. He has never really produced anything or had a productive job.

16. First, you should read up on "socialism".
I believe that you are looking for examples of Authoritarian Police State.

"Socialism" is an economic system successfully used by many of the countries of Northern Europe (in a modified form). It can easily be blended with regulated capitalism to produce economic incentive, a level playing field for competition, and a healthy commonwealth.

"Socialism" is more common in the USA than you are aware of.
Our: Police Depts
Fire Depts
Highway system
Public Schools
Social Security
Coast Guard & Military
Food & Drug testing and protection
All are examples of successful applications of "socialism".

Publicly owned utilities are another example, though these have been successfully destroyed by the Republicans (with the help of some "bought" Democrats). See how well ENRON worked?

Hope this helps.

9. O.K. Listen!
When the freeptards speak of socialism, they mean the big government type of socialism. When they accuse Kerry of being socialist it is in the vain of socialized medicine and big government stuff. I'm trying to throw this back in their face and you guys are not playing along.

14. Whats this "I don't want to be clued in crap"
I understand that Bush is not a text book socialist. I've got a letter to the editor that I'm trying to respond to where a writer accuses Kerry of being a Socialist using the big government health care crap. I'm trying to throw it back in his face with Bush's big government stuff. Have I given you a clue what I need yet.

19. you might mention
that anyone who has served in the US military, and any service member dependents who have received medical care through the military , has enjoyed our own version of socialized medicine.

We have had this form of socialized medicine for many years, under both dems and Reps. It used to work pretty well.

Bushwa supports social welfare for the wealthy and for corporations.
Bushwa supports the concept of his cronies supping at the public trough of gov't money (Halliburton, Bechtel, Enron etc.), which is a form of socialism.

Enjoy!

13. I think you mean National Socialist AKA Nazi
You know, using an act of terrorism to begin dismantling constitutional government and rule by decree... brand political opposition as treason... launch unprovoked wars of aggression... detain prisoners in secret camps not subject to international inspection...

Is that the sort of thing you're looking for?

24. National Socialism is not Socialism
Likewise, the "Democratic People's Republic of North Korea" is neither democratic, a republic, nor run by the people.

No offense, but you really need to educate yourself on just what "Socialism" is. In a nutshell, anytime the government (aka the People in a democracy) takes over control of a program from private capitalistic enterprise, a "socialization" has taken place. So, George "privatize everything under the sun" Bush is hardly a Socialist.

A major problem is that many people, including yourself it seems, have grown up hearing "socialist" always equated with the totalitarian dictatorships of the Eastern Block. Those goverments were "socialist" the same way Bush is a "Christian" and bin Laden is a "Muslim." Those three share more in common with each other than with the ideology to which they supposedly subscribe, for they are all Totalitarians.

There's an old saying in History: "If you go far enough to the left or the right, you come full circle to Totalitarianism."
