*uck Monday Night Football!
They just cut away to a Kuwait shot of a tank gun barrel with the words "Favre's Backup" stenciled on it. How DARE they tie this in with killing people!!!! I'm so furious I feel nauseous. Can't I even watch the Packers without a reminder that we're murderers?

1. It sucks, but let's face it, the football/war analogy has been
around the airwaves for decades. For many in this country, extending the metaphor to the ugliness of today's reality is probably "cool."

That's what else smokes me: it was obviously a media set-up just like the famed "toppling of the Hussein statue" opportunity. I'm still seething.
